|The Retrouvaille communities of Southern Africa invite the Retrouvaille International Board, all Regional teams, Community Coordinators, - in fact, anyone who has attended a Retrouvaille program anywhere in the world, in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, from Wednesday 1 to Saturday 4 October 2014.
African tradition has at it's heart the spirit of Ubuntu, a spirit of selflessness and generosity which we in Retrouvaille demonstrate every weekend when we share our stories of pain and recovery with others, so that they too, may heal. We are all working together to heal families, and to build a better world.
The family is the basic unit of society, and as Pope John Paul II once said, "As the family goes, so goes the world." The future of society must surely lie with the health of the family unit. We in Retrouvaille received the gift of recovery from the challenges which faced our marriages and our families, and we follow God's instruction - "The gift you have received, give it as a gift."
We invite you to extend beyond your own community and comfort levels, and to visit the beautiful yet wounded shores of KwaZulu-Natal, sharing your love so that others too may recover from the depths of the darkness where they find themselves.
South Africans are internationally renowned for their hospitality, and Durban, the Caring City, is the playground of Africa. Come discover something new, whether it be stunning natural landscapes or exotic wildlife, modern sophisticated cities with world-renowned cuisine or historic townships with their vibrant culture, mountains or vineyards you are after, South Africa has it all, and more. Please take the time to browse this site so that you can learn first-hand what we have to offer. We'll be adding to it, so be sure to visit it regularly.
